Two new mainstream Pinoy films are coming our way as GMA Films and VIVA Films offer a potential hit rom-com and a summer barkada flick to moviegoers.
My Lady Boss
After the success of My Bestfriend's Girlfriend last 2008, GMA's big stars Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez are back to treat moviegoers with another romantic comedy under their belt. My Lady Boss is co-produced by GMA Films and Regal Films and was directed by Jade Castro, a young female director who also made "I Do" under GMA Films' counterpart Star Cinema. There is no playdate yet but it could be shown around May as it got moved from its Feb. 10 and Apr. 10 playdate due to scheduling issues they say. However the film looks kinda promising, it was reportedly very much alike with the Hollywood film "The Proposal". Well let see how will this turn out. Click the vid to watch the trailer.

No, it will be shown on April 17! This barkada flick by Viva Films is a story of six friends with different background and lifestyle who journeys around but ended experiencing several lesson-learned misadventures. Directed by Martin Rey Aviles, it stars Andi Eigenmann, Boy2 Quizon, Carla Humphries, Cholo Barretto and Glaiza de Castro. Celebrity cameos include Vice Ganda among other celebs. Barkada flicks are not popular as before so let's see how will this turn out to the tills. Watch the trailer below!
